Antique Victorian 15ct Gold Turquoise Seed Pearl Locket with 9ct Gold Necklace

A beautiful antique Victorian 15ct gold oval photo locket featuring an elegant laurel wreath design, adorned with six vibrant turquoise cabochons and six delicate split seed pearls.

The decorative wreath combines the bright blue of the turquoise with the soft lustre of the seed pearls, creating a lovely contrast against the warm gold. In Victorian jewellery, laurel wreaths traditionally symbolised victory, honour and achievement, giving this charming piece an additional layer of meaning.

The locket opens to hold a treasured photograph and retains its original photograph backing paper, a lovely surviving detail from its past. It is accompanied by a vintage 9ct gold trace (cable) chain, creating a beautiful combination of antique craftsmanship and everyday wearability.

A wonderfully characterful keepsake, with a history of its own and another chapter still to come.
