Victorian 9ct Gold Turquoise Seed Pearl Swallow Brooch Murrle Bennett & Co

A charming Victorian 9ct yellow gold brooch by Murrle Bennett & Co, featuring a beautifully detailed pair of swallows adorned with turquoise and seed pearls.

The two birds are captured in flight, their outstretched wings and delicately textured feathers creating a wonderful sense of movement. Vibrant turquoise cabochons contrast beautifully with the soft lustre of the seed pearls, while the warm yellow gold brings the intricate design together.

Swallows were a popular motif in Victorian jewellery, traditionally symbolising love, loyalty and safe return. This delightful piece combines that romantic symbolism with the distinctive craftsmanship associated with Murrle Bennett & Co.
